I had the pleasure of photographing A and T for their maternity session and again with their new baby boy A. I really enjoy maternity sessions because the love the couple feels for each other when they are expecting is so real and undeniable as they anticipate their baby’s arrival. I love to capture the in between moments. Every time I ask a couple to kiss they break out laughing. That’s exactly what I was hoping for.

Often times moms get a little stressed about their baby’s sessions, wondering how baby will be, if they will cry and be fussy. While it’s a very valid concern, I do want to stress that we allow up to 2 hours in the studio for newborn sessions…for fussiness, diaper changes, feedings and breaks and have a lot of patience. Some babies do cry, but it’s okay. We always capture something great and the parents are generally surprised when they see their proofs at the viewing appointment. If baby is having a really off day and we cannot capture some great images, we’ll reschedule. Welcome Baby A.
