The majority of time you’ll find me photographing pregnant ladies, babies, toddlers, young children (5-9), families that have babies or toddlers and real women of true beauty inside and out for my intimate work. Every once in a while I get requests to photograph the other types of portraits such as tweens (9-12), teens, adult couples, adult siblings with a parent or 2, extended families and families with tweens and/or teens.
Even though I’ve been doing these types of sessions as well over the years, I don’t show it on my website. I guess the main reason for that is because I find this type of photography more on the traditional side. It’s not so easy to come by a natural expression. Instead, they’re posers! There’s nothing wrong with traditional photography, it certainly has it’s place but I strive to be a non traditional photographer capturing real expressions and real feelings. That’s the beauty of the blog because I can share all the other types of work I do.
With that said, here’s one special family and even though yes, they too were posers there were certainly real feelings and real expressions displayed. They are loving, fun, down to earth and generous. How do I know they’re generous? Well, they purchased a Gift Certificate for a session and portraits with me at a silent auction that WICC (women in insurance cancer crusade) hosted in support of cancer research. I loved this family and l enjoyed hanging out with them even if for only a short while. M & K you are 2 cool kids!
Until next time,
