Childhood Stories
We
worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we
forget that he is someone today. ~Stacia Tauscher
Life
quickly changes. Memories are precious.
Childhood
is a fleeting time. Twenty years from now will you remember the unique details of your child when he/she was 2, 5 or 9? This session style is ideal for those who long for their child's everyday life to be captured, genuinely and naturally. These images are created in a photojournalistic style, documenting a moment in time and telling your child's story. Saying cheese, sitting nicely and smiling for the camera are only part of the agenda if it happens naturally.
With
Andrea Rees Photography's A Moment in Time Storybook
sessions, we will be able to capture that precious time
and the details of your child's day. Andrea will spend time with your child capturing real moments. It doesn't have to be a special occasion, a birthday or a milestone; any day will do and is preferred. Bath time, playtime, sandcastles and rainy days are just some moments that are waiting to be captured. A significant amount of artistic discretion will be exhibited - i.e. cropping, processing and lighting (artistic grain/blur is not uncommon).
I
will spend up to 4 hours at your home, backyard or favourite
park (combination of all-weather permitting) capturing candid images of
your child. I will observe with my camera ready to capture
those once in a lifetime moments, engage your child
in conversation, play with your child and just have
a fun time together.
With
these images I will put together a Coffee Table Storybook
that shows a glimpse of your child's day, his/her favourite
toys and activities, how he/she spends their time and
all the details that are so easily forgotten.
This
beautiful handcrafted Coffee Table Storybook (20 pages)
will be filled with images, unique designs and imaginative
words that tell your child's story. Images are created
in a photojournalistic style, documenting a moment in
time. No formal images.

you ought to seriously re-examine your life. ~Bill Watterson,
