First, Happy New Year from Andrea Rees Photography. We wish you a wonderful 2010 and hope you had a great holiday season.

I am happy to announce that I am pregnant with my second child (a boy) and my son is looking forward to becoming a big brother.  I am preparing for my maternity leave to begin February 15, 2010 to allow time with my 4 year old son and to get ready for the new baby.  Currently, I don’t have a return date in regards to portrait sessions that I will be photographing.  Stay tuned to the blog for an update after everything settles with the new baby.  

While I am on maternity leave, the studio will remain open as we have our associate photographers available for maternity, newborn, baby, child, teen, couples and family sessions. As well, business & talent headshots will still be available. Intimate sessions will temporarily be on hold until I return.

Our associate photographers have personally been trained by me and are well equipped to represent Andrea Rees Photography and the quality we are known for.  Let me take this time to welcome Ken Schultz to Andrea Rees Photography as our newest associate photographer.  Ken has more than 3 years experience and is very personable and great to work with. Ken will be the primary photographer for maternity, newborn, baby and family sessions and will be available weekdays as well as some Saturdays, Sundays and evenings.  Of course each photographer has a style of their own, but I am confident you will be very happy with their work.

During my maternity leave, I will have a greatly reduced schedule, but will be available to answer questions and conduct viewing appointments.  Having said that,  it will mostly be over the phone and via the internet. For the last 2+ years we have been conducting many of the viewing appointments over the internet using web conferencing software. Many of our clients have chosen this method to view the images from the session and place their orders. We are happy to say that it has worked very well and has been especially helpful to those with small children and babies at home.
